He has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.

Obedience begets favor. Just like parents, they are most pleased when their children obey them. A parent tends to allot more favor to a child who is always eager to please through his or her obedience.
Our Heavenly Father always know what we do. He is displeased with us whenever we turn away from Him. We should never forget the lesson of Adam and Eve. Life becomes difficult because of their disobedience.
Today, Jesus tells us the only way to win God’s favor. God will never leave us alone as long as we always do the things pleasing to Him. Jesus subjected himself to human suffering in fulfillment of the mission that the Heavenly Father gave him. He is the epitome of an obedient Son. Are we ready and willing to follow Jesus’ example?
Lord Jesus, teach me to embrace everything that it takes to please our Heavenly Father. Help me follow a life like yours. I want to be saved. I want to have an eternal life. I want to have a place in your kingdom. I want to win God’s favor always and forever. Amen.
